MRE is a business relationship consulting firm founded in 2011 by Régis Rossi. Jacques Petitpré joined MRE in 2014

MRE promotes innovative forms of management based in particular on emotional intelligence. MRE helps firms and other organizations realize the business benefits of well-functioning relationships.

In 2019 MRE has given more than 120 lectures. Since 2011, more than 150 000 managers and senior executives have attended an MRE lecture.

And Me.

I’ve had two careers that lead me to be here today.

After science studies, I joined the Palais de la Découverte and became head manager of the Physics departement. Our team organize and coordinate lectures, exhibitions and other events to explain science to a very wide field of audiences.

In parallel to this, I’ve been for years now an illusionist and a mentalist mostly in the corporate world

A common misconception is that illusionists create magic by sleight of hand and technical skills.

Those are necessary but the main asset of an experienced illusionist is the ability to perceive and handle emotions:

Emotional Intelligence.

And that’s where those worlds come together.

Those two seemingly very different jobs have in common the prime importance of communication, the need to understand the way our mind the way it works with our emotions and how it affects us positively or negatively in any situation in our working life.

The lecture

This involving and experiential lecture has an original approach based on the fact that the psychological mechanisms that illusionist use to trick their audience are the exact same that senior executives have to deal with every day in their working life!

We make the participants experience those mechanisms through involving experiments. They learn how to manage emotions (theirs and those of others). This is a huge asset to be efficient and thrive in an always evolving professional environment.

As lecturer/illusionists, we give a new approach to management practices. Ironically, in a world that is more and more digital, emotional intelligence is more than ever the key element for the success of any project, for the proper functioning of any work team.

Among the themes addressed are : trust and involvement in the working relationship / emotional management in the decision making process/ perception and interpretation/failure and success management...

We work mainly with major French and international groups toward senior managers, sales forces and experts (lawyers, accountants, financial managers, researchers..)
